A Little Bling for the Gun Weekend
January 26th, 2012I’ll be heading out next week for the yearly guy’s only gun shoot, as we call it. Six of us will be heading out to a cabin in the middle of nowhere. It’s more or less a weekend get away from the wives but we always make it a point to do some target shooting and show off new guns.
This year, I have an interesting idea. Over the past twenty years, we’ve had just about every kind of gun imaginable show up whether owned or borrowed. One thing nobody has every brought is a firearm suppressor. I’m just curious if I can get one in hand before next weekend.
I’ve personally never seen one in action and I hear they are not as quiet as the movies portray. Nevertheless, I have this image in my head of taking aim, with everyone watching, and hearing a soft “swoosh” as the bullet whizzes towards the target. I can dream right?
